100 SHOWS, 104 YEARS: A HISTORY OF THE FINLEY A. & P. ASSOCATION
For over 100 years, the Finley Show has been an integral part of our community. Almost every year since 1913, the Finley community and district has come together to stage one of the district’s most successful events. The Association has continued going from strength to strength, providing the community with an annual family day out, and showcasing what this region has to offer.
This book - 100 Shows, 104 Years - is a look back at the past 104 years of Show history in Finley. It’s a look at all the personalities who have worked tirelessly for the Association and help make the Finley Show the event that it is today. What’s written on these pages is just a small slice of the history of Finley, but it’s an important one.
Through old newspaper articles, minute books and recorded local history, we’ve tried to piece together as much as possible to tell the story of the Finley Agricultural & Pastoral Association. Hopefully, what we’ve recorded in this book will do justice to those who have been involved in the Association.
