The Land Sydney Royal AgShows NSW Young Woman competition aims to find a young woman to act as an ambassador for rural NSW and the agricultural show movement.

The competition is NOT a beauty pageant, but encourages the participation and subsequent awareness of rural women’s contribution and involvement in both local communities and rural NSW as a whole. It is most important the entrants have a genuine interest in, and knowledge of, rural NSW.

The entrants are judged on personality, confidence, ambition and life goals, general knowledge, rural knowledge, presentation and speech. Finalists are also asked to demonstrate knowledge of their local community and current affairs and apart from their potential ambassadorial qualities, entrants are also judged on their involvement in and experience of rural affairs.

The competition is open to young women aged 18-26 as at May 1, 2026. Judging will take place prior to or on Show Day, and all contestants are asked to help during Show Day. The winner will go on to represent Finley at the Zone Final hosted by Ganmain on 31 January 2026.
